Holiday Design Ideas for Accenting Your Barnwood Table

Picture this; family and friends gathered around a barnwood table feasting on all the holiday favorites (don’t forget the figgy pudding). Doesn’t that sound like a picture perfect holiday scene? The question then becomes… How do I enhance the natural beauty of my reclaimed barnwood table in a festive way? We know you work hard, so let us help. We have some great ideas on how you can create the perfect accent to your custom-made barnwood dining table for the holidays. A big part of the holiday season centers around all the decorations, from your Christmas tree to your front yard and tabletop. To help enhance the look of reclaimed pine, oak or American chestnut we have complied a few of our favorite holiday design ideas from centerpieces to table runners.
Holiday Centerpieces for a Reclaimed Barnwood Table
1. Decorative pillars filled with fruit: Fill a pillar with fresh fruit such as cranberries or oranges. Add some rosemary or cinnamon for an extra festive flair and to help make your room smell amazing.

2. Fresh Flower Bouquet:Fresh flowers are always a crowd pleaser. Put together your own bouquet or visit your local florist for some festive ideas!
3. Miniature cedar trees in decorative pots: You can easily pick up miniature trees from your local farm or florist. Place them in a decorative pot and tie your favorite piece of festive ribbon around the base. Place one in the center of your barnwood table or scatter several throughout.

4. Mason jar with a tea light inside: Mason jars make everything better! For a rustic country feel add a candle to the bottom of a mason jar. Keep on eye on the flame and replace when the wick gets too low. For an extra festive look; fill the Mason jar with water, add cranberries and fresh green herbs.
5. Buffalo plaid table runner: Have a crowded table and looking for the perfect holiday centerpiece that takes up a little less space? Try a table runner, specifically a buffalo plaid one. The rich red will greatly accent any barnwood table.
