Our Story
Old Barn Star is a family business rooted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Michael and Tracy have been at the heart of it since the beginning, brought together by a love for the beauty of reclaimed wood and a belief that furniture should be built to last for generations — not replaced every few years.
It all starts with the wood. We reclaim weathered barnwood from old barns being torn down across the region — timber that has stood through a century of Pennsylvania seasons. The nail holes, saw marks, and deep patina aren't flaws to sand away; they're the character of the wood, and no two boards are ever alike.
From there, every piece is handcrafted by skilled Amish woodworkers here in Lancaster County. Working in a tradition known the world over for its quality, they build each piece with time-honored joinery and a patience you can feel — furniture meant to be passed down, not thrown away.
